Acer campestre 'Streetwise' is a brilliant Field Maple tree with upright growing branches and a neat, oval-shaped crown. So-called because it is has been bred specifically to withstand harsh, urban environments, this tree’s canopy is notably more uniform than traditional Acer campestre. Leaves in spring emerge a bright green, darkening in summer and then taking on fiery shades of orange and yellow in autumn.
Field Maple 'Streetwise' is drought-tolerant when established and is happily planted in most well-draining soils. It has an approx. height and spread of 8 x 4 metres in 20 years.
